AF&PA RECYCLING AWARDS

The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) Recycling Awards recognize outstanding paper recycling efforts. In 2010 AF&PA will award a business, community, and school with a $2,000 cash prize, framed original artwork, and local and national recognition. Winners, who will be announced in March, will also be featured on the paperrecycles.org Web site.

FREE ELECTRONICS RECYCLING FOR MACON COUNTY RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES
The Macon County Solid Waste Management Department is pleased to invite you to the Grand Opening of the BLH Computer, Inc Decatur Electronics Recycling Center. This new and exciting business will recycle all electronic items including televisions for free for all citizens and businesses. The Grand Opening is Tuesday 11-18-2008 at 2:00 PM. City and County officials will be attending.
BLH Computers, in cooperation with Macon County Solid Waste Management Department, has established and electronics recycling program for consumers and businesses to conveniently recycle unwanted computers, televisions and many other types of electronic equipment from any manufacturer without adding to landfill.
Absolutely none of the components will be sent overseas and confidentially will be a top priority. Personal information will in no way be compromised.
The program is free to all Macon County residents and businesses. Further information may be obtained by contacting Macon County Solid Waste Department at 425-4505.
